The Clotting Cascade
The first animation of a two-part series explaining the clotting cascade and therapeutic options for hemophilia. The project was co-animated with Nobles Green II, who took care of gross-anatomy and cellular scenes.
Client: National Hemophilia Foundation
Audience: Patient/lay audience
Workflow: Molecular scenes were animated in Blender and rendered with Cycles. Motion graphics and footage was composited in Adobe After Effects.
Apollo ESG System
Animation explaining the endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty (ESG) procedure using the Apollo ESG System. This project was co-animated with Yu-Sin Huang, who was responsible for motion graphics, the hero shot, and external scenes.

Audience: Patient/lay audience
Workflow: The procedure sequence was animated in Blender and rendered with Cycles. Sutures were animated using Blender’s Geometry Nodes.
Sickle Cell Priapism
Patient education piece explaining sickle cell priapism, and the steps you should take if you experience this condition. This project was a collaborative project with Benjamin Samar, Indigo Perez, and Yu-Sin Huang. My contribution is the cellular scenes.

Workflow: Cellular scenes were animated in 3ds Max using TyFlow, rendered using VRay, and composited in Adobe After Effects.

Neurotransmission (360 Animation)
This immersive animation was designed to highlight individual aspects of neurotransmission. Viewers are placed in the middle of a synapse, surrounded by a complex arrangement of neurons.
Audience: General audience (editorial)
Workflow: Assets were modeled and animated in Blender using geometry nodes, dynamic paint, and the build-in particle system. Footage was rendered in Cycles for Blender and composited in Adobe After Effects.

Slime Mold
Slime molds are a diverse paraphyletic group of organisms in the Protist Kingdom with the unique ability to switch between unicellular and multicellular forms. The animation highlights the multicellular behavior of a slime mold’s (Physerum polycephalum) plasmodial stage. The narrative framing is meant to introduce viewers to this organism, serving as a visual aid to more detailed information that may be delivered in a museum exhibit.
Audience: Lay audience, museumgoers
Workflow: Models sourced from Polyhaven. Simulations created from TyFlow. Lights, materials, and animation were rendered in 3ds Max with VRay. Compositing was completed in Adobe After Effects. Sound design was completed in Adobe Audition.
